Welcome to the Te Kohera Kakaho Trust website. If this is your first time, Nau mai haere mai, have a look around, see what we do as a trust for and on behalf of our beneficial owners, if you are returning to check out whats new, Nau mai hoki mai, and thanks for taking the time to catch up on whats happening for us as a trust.

As a trust we administer approx 1,200 Ha of land on our beneficial owners behalf. We lease 340 Ha to Peter and Marilyn Kidd who use it as dairy support land and stock rearing land.

We have 276. Ha of Pine trees that are going to be harvested in the next few years and then replanted. These trees have been growing for the past 28 ish years are are now ready to be harvested by Hancock Forestry Managers Ltd and when completed they will replant the area and then hand the block back to us as a going concern (The trees will belong to us, and unfortunately so will the ongoing costs involved with the growing of the trees).

The other 540 Ha is native forest or Ngahere and we are looking at ways to make this largest section of of our whenua earn its own way (NOT by logging it). this is interesting times for the trust as we work out on behalf of the beneficial owners what direction the trust takes to ensure the sustainable growth of the trust and to maximize the beneficial returns to our owners.
